Group 3 Maps for use during the Aerodrome Ground Movement aircraft

Group 4: Maps , designed for visual air navigation laying track and use for planning purposes

- The World Aeronautical Chart 1:1,000,000 (ICAO ) mandatory

- Aeronautical Chart 1:500 000 ( ICAO) optional

- Aeronautical Chart small scale (ICAO ) optional

- Map to plot (ICAO ) optional

Of the 17 types of cards recommended by ICAO, are mandatory six types:

1) Aerodrome Obstacle (ICAO ) , type A ;

2) map of the area for a precision approach (ICAO ) ;

3) track map (ICAO);

4) Approach Chart Instrument ( ICAO);

5 ) the Aerodrome / Heliport (ICAO );

6) The World Aeronautical Chart 1:1 000 000 ( ICAO).

For all aerodromes used by aircraft of international civil aviation, having VSH1 equipped for precision approach Category II and III, to be published map of the area for precision approach and a map of instrument approach if the approach procedure instrument set by the state.

For all aerodromes regularly used by aircraft International Civil Aviation requires the Aerodrome / heliport and Aerodrome obstacles in those cases where the take-off path areas , there are significant obstacles.

In addition, the roadmap should be available for all zones , which established the flight information regions (FIRs ) and WAC 1:1 000 000 ( ICAO) should be issued for all zones , which are described in Appendix 5 of Annex 4.

Another six cards mentioned are considered "optional", which means that these cards should be issued only in those cases where , in the opinion of authority of the State , the existence of these cards will help to ensure the safety, regularity and efficiency of aircraft operations

- Aerodrome obstacles ( ICAO), Type B, should be issued only when the need for identifying the critical heights naggoimer , when the circling or schemes used in the event of an emergency during take-off or landing, as well as in the determination of the obstacle clearance criteria and their labeling. If there is a need in the publication of maps, unifying characteristics Aerodrome Obstacle type A and type B , such a combo card is called Aerodrome obstacles ( ICAO ) ( detailed ) .

- Aerodrome Ground Movement (ICAO ) is a subsidiary and should be issued only if the detailed information required for ground movement of aircraft on the taxiways to parking of aircraft, as well as places of parking / docking of aircraft can not be sufficiently clear displayed on the Aerodrome / heliport .

Auxiliary and shall be released only in cases where due to the complexity of the aerodrome facilities relevant information on the ground movement of aircraft between the taxiways and aircraft parking areas and parking / docking of aircraft can not be sufficiently clearly displayed on the Aerodrome / Heliport (ICAO ) or aerodrome Ground Movement ( ICAO).

- Aeronautical Chart 1:500 000 ( ICAO) and the Aeronautical Chart small scale should be issued only if the operational need for visual navigation , or if the reasons for publishing the nature of such cards are required either to replace or to supplement the World Aeronautical Chart 1:1 000 000 ( ICAO).

- Map to plot (ICAO). This card is useful as an additional card if there is a need in applying a constant flight data about the location of an aircraft using various methods for determining the location value x path and for keeping a predetermined trajectory . Also, cards can be used for flights on major air routes over oceans and sparsely populated areas , the air space over which is used by commercial aircraft.
