ПЕРЕДМОВА
Посібник «Охорона здоров’я» призначений для курсантів та студентів 1 року навчання за напрямом «філологія, переклад» і може бути використаний як під час практичних занять під керівництвом викладача, так і для самостійного опрацювання, а також може виступати як самостійний посібник вправ-тренінгів для вивчення медичної лексики.
Модуль «Охорона здоров’я» розрахований на 58 годин аудиторних занять. Посібник містить 12 розділів (Units), кожний з яких відповідає одному заняттю, крім 4 і 5, які поділені на 3 та 2 частини (Parts) відповідно (кожна частина відповідає одному заняттю). Крім того, посібник включає зміст, тобто карту посібника. Карта посібника демонструє розподіл матеріалу за розділами та частинами (Units, Parts), види завдань для формування навичок аудіювання, читання, говоріння (Listening, Reading, Speaking), граматичні теми для повторення (Grammar). Додаток (Appendix) складається з двох частин – перша містить англо-український словник з транскрипцією до кожного заняття, а також множиною іменників, яка утворюється нестандартним способом, а друга подає матеріал, який призначений для виконання комунікативних вправ.
Цілі навчання в посібнику формулюються виходячи із загальної мети усього п’ятирічного курсу і зводяться до практичних (формування мовленнєвих навичок і вмінь та засвоєння лінгвістичних і соціокультурних знань), когнітивних (розвиток когнітивних здібностей), афективних (формування впевненості щодо використання мови як засобу комунікації і для перекладу, а також розвиток позитивного відношення до вивчення англійської мови та засвоєння відповідної культури), освітніх (розвиток здатності до самостійного пошуку та засвоєння нового матеріалу), фахових (розвиток перекладацької компетенції), соціальних (розвиток загальних умінь спілкування).
Наприкінці кожного розділу подаються вправи для самостійного опрацювання (Self-Study Exercises). У зв’язку з різним рівнем підготовки студентів обиралися вправи різного рівня складності, що дає змогу організувати заняття у відповідності з індивідуальним підходом до тих, хто навчається.
