On this page there are two newspaper stories ‘El AL Boeing747 crashed into Amsterdam apartment blocks’ and ‘All 291 people aboard stricken TWA Tristar escape inferno’. But the stories have been mixed up.
1. Look at the paragraphs quickly and first decide which paragraphs go with which story.
a) He tried to turn around and go back to the airport, but the loss of at least one of the engines caused him to lose control of the plane | f) A Boeing 747-200F crashed in a working-class district of the Dutch capital tonight, 15 minutes after take- off from Schipol Airport | |
