MENUS.

We all know that menus list all food items available at a restaurant. Menus contain separate sections for starters, main courses, desserts, etc, menus also contain a separate section for beverages.

The beverage menu is divided into alcoholic and non-alcoholic selections. Non-alcoholic (soft drinks) choices are further divided into hot and cold selections. Cold drinks include a number of juices and also mineral water, still and fizzy and many others. Hot beverages include numerous flavored teas, coffees and hot chocolate.

Alcoholic drinks are subdivided into hard drinks (whiskey, rum, vodka), table wines, fortified wines (sherry, vermouth, port, liqueurs) and beers.

Many medium priced and upscale restaurants have separate wine menus or wine list, which offer wine and champagne (sparkling wines) either by glass, bottle or carafe for house wine.

Beer is a popular drink and often has a menu of its own due to its wide variety. You can often order it bottled or on tap (draught) and in a number of sizes, even in a jug for your entire table to enjoy.
